Catalog 03:39
Pray For the skulls she bought She went through several dozen catalogs Lets all hope They arrive unbroken Late To recognize the rot She lost her candor when her children got wind she quit Filling her prescriptions And I can't tell And I wouldn't dwell on it When she speaks she keeps Her beliefs discrete But when she sleeps She dreams out loud Come To adore the grounds She built an altar to an ultrasound Of her son Before his corruption Nights With the shudders closed She's working to perfect the rituals for all the ghosts she knows And I can't judge And I don't trust That the world she sees Filled with secret things Is the same one that I know

Antenna 04:36
In an office park in Dallas Jim had grown bitter and calloused He was certain he alone could fix society An old computer technician who had worked for IBM when He'd been convinced they’d blow the lid off of reality It’d been a year since Susie left him And ever since he’d nurtured gumption With the help of his internet community He built a portable antenna That he mounted to his Tacoma And headed west to spread his message over television wavelengths He’d preach his theories on this new lame America That lacked adventure and only bred mild hysteria He sent it out on a digital stream To any TV turned to 13 At least when he was in the line of sight He stopped for lunch in Santa Barbra That's where his truck refused to start up He searched the parking lot for rides towards Las Angeles Judy was moving south to Compton She’d found a job with a non-profit Recruiting volunteers online for social causes When Jim explained to her his mission She bit her tongue in cynicism And asked how he'd amassed such vision Rolling her eyes, old him to get in He packed his stuff into her Prius They hugged the coast and joked what Jesus If he were alive today would share on social media She dropped him off in the shadows of the Watts Tower Arts Center He hopped the fence and connected his amplifier to the towers He turned the power up as high as it would And scanned the bans for any signal he could A voice appeared commanding "Obey Your Thirst"

Green 02:49
Running from thunder Escape from the mundane My Gatorade fades The sun moves the shade And I won't go until I'm ready As long as you let me It's say what you want As long as its not Something like everyone's heavy Or broken and petty To let the light in And expose all our sins

Summer In the valley I reach for my closest friend The glow Slipping indifference Community on demand The scroll unfolds Like water rising Convenience driving Gestured hands It guides my mind Through expert timing Then wanting wanting something else Nights With my family Jerry, George, and Elaine Comfort Almost rhyming Referencing "Baby Jane" "But you are Blanche" Begins to blend with The nights I've lived a thousand times The warm embrace of repetition A program programmed on demand

Working For 03:53
He rattled off his dreams to his microwave His hands in hair, John swore he was capable of fun He settled his attention on a sacrament A prayer he read while scrolling in his house alone He's reminded in the morning he should meditate When he gets home, his phone demands he goes for a run He's raised all his complaints with his mirror selves He takes his favorite machines apart to understand their worth Its working for him, that's whats best
